Random

Me here posting after a loooooooooong time of hibernating =o=
First things first, thanks to all who wished me on my birthday (and after ^^) XDD
Yes, I am finally another year older... Amazing to see how time practically teleports swt
Anyway I came to a realisation : Am I a tad bit too much of a perfectionist? See, I listened to some recordings of karaoke sung by random people, and where I'd probably give it a 2- rating (out of 5), many people gave them 4-5 stars =o= So I don't know whether I just naturally expect a bit too much =_= And there are many other things too, like when I feel that my compositions are crap and people telling me it's rather fine (okay okay it's rather good). But I just don't feel I deserve that much praise over it, you know? Liek it's not good enough. Maybe nothing ever is good enough for me =\

Done ranting =.= (Told ya it's random XP;;; )

Why so serious?

Today is our school's Co-curricular day, more like a canteen day. It was.... boring, as usual. I shouldn't have went so early, seeing as how I wasted 1 hour doing nothing -_- But anyway, my Mei Yan and Tai Kam came over XD Haven't seen them in AGES *__* Took some group photos and camwhored together rofll XPXP Nothing much happened when we were in school, just caught up with each other, then planned to 'cabut' early and watch The Dark Knight in Sunway XD I left at about 12.00 p.m, and met them at Sunway at about 12.30. Thought of watching the 12.50 show, but apparently we got our information wrong - the earliest show was at 11.50, and the next show is at 2.45 -_- So we waited. Lina had to drive home first as her mom needed the car, so the three of us hung around. Come to think of it, this is the first time I went shopping with Mei Yan and Tai Kam O.o And I realised that Mei Yan and I have almost the same taste in clothing nfufu >P We even tried on winter clothing O.o IT WAS SO COOL XDDD The winter coats, I mean @x@ But as much as I loved it, it's... nonsensical, isn't it, to buy winter clothing when I'm living in a tropical country =O= I'll evaporate in them =______= Anyway, it was 2.30 very soon, so the three of us plus Lina who came back headed towards the cinema in anticipation of The Dark Knight >D
I'll try to express my thoughts on the show as spoiler-free as possible ^^ And I suck at writing summaries/reviews so please bear with me x_x
First off, YOU! YES YOU! READING THIS! GO WATCH IT RIGHT NOW IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY! IT IS AN ORDER! XDDD
This is the best movie I've watched this year. Funny, I wasn't exactly a Batman fan until now. Okay okay so perhaps I was gaga over it back when I was a kiddo, but the 2005 'Batman Begins' movie didn't exactly make me swoon over it. I have no idea why I was so looking forward to this movie myself. Perhaps it's because of the fact that Joker's one of my favourite characters in Batman? And he looked mighty sinister in the trailers. Plus he is played by the late Heath Ledger. Yup. It is most probably because of those reasons that made me want to watch The Dark Knight so much. And I must say, this is one fantastic movie. Heath Ledger played his role of The Joker amazingly well. Make-up? Check. Malicious cackle? Check. Deranged mastermind? Check. The very beginning itself could even make you shudder as the fate of a random character is left to your imagination. So you can imagine that the movie leaves you on the edge of your seat for the whole 150 minutes. I especially loved The Joker (duh) with his choice of words, his actions, and most of all, his brilliant mind - the way he plans everything (I would very much love to have an intellectual conversation with him if it were possible *____*). Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne a.k.a Batman is rather hot too XP (Yes I am very well aware that this isn't exactly appropriate for a summary/review but hey! I'm free to express my opinions okay? XP) And he's so friggin loaded it makes me sick :S And me being me, I don't like Rachel -_- I'm so happy that she- Oh, I almost gave a spoiler there ;P I'd give The Dark Knight a 9.4/10 rating <3 The storyline is good, the actors were amazing, the graphics were stunning. What more could you ask for? It's filled with LOADS of explosions and car wrecks (I actually almost screamed out loud when Bruce Wayne's Lamborghini went crash T____T). I love this movie so much that I'm planning to go for a round 2, and perhaps even buy the DVD ;D A word of caution : This movie is NOT meant for little kiddies, senior citizens and those with a faint heart.

New Class!~

Fufufufu the new building in my school is finally complete! Though some construction work is still going on @@ Anyway, the point is my class, PAC, has finally shifted to the new block :D It's located on the ground floor, so we needn't climb those excruciating steps anymore kyufufu >D Most of us were pretty much excited to transfer >w< Thank heavens we needn't carry our own tables. Seriously, those from the arts stream had to carry their own tables, and they're located on the second floor O.o Imagine that. The class is relatively small though, but it's cozy enough for the 15 of us :D I took some photos of my ex-class (the one with the 'emo window' and a view of an 'emo tree') for remembrance :D Will upload the pictures later on tho @@ The best thing about shifting is that we won't be sharing classes anymore, so it is finally free from the evil clutches of the highly annoying midgets afternoon kids, and the class wouldn't be in such a huge mess any longer XD Honestly, those midgets kids have been terrorising our poor class with a massive load of rubbish -.- Papers were strewn everywhere, bits of chalk can be found littering the teacher's desk and the area surrounding it, and so forth. I've had about enough of them, I tell you. One drawback, though. It's situated near a toilet which we cannot even use. Apparently it's only for the teachers' usage. Sadness.

Proud?

Should I be feeling proud of myself for actually having managed to pass up my Maths 1 homework (although I am severely behind time... but hey, I'm not the last person to pass it up!) and Bio homework (this I think I should be rather much proud because I'm one of the first to pass it up XDD). I swear, after 3 days and 3 nights of staring at biological terms and copying practically 20 pages of... biology... I'm gonna have some kind of trauma everytime I look at tiny print containing words such as 'photosynthesis', 'Ribulose Biphosphate a.k.a RuBP', 'photophosphorylation' (yes that's a word. Go check it up if you don't believe me >D) and 'Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide Phosphate a.k.a NADP' :S In all seriousness, some of the longest words are biological terms =.=

MUET class is l-o-v-e <3

When sir came into class and asked us to take out our workbook earlier this morning, all of us groaned in unison (okay maybe not exactly -all- of us...). So I told him, "Sir, I thought Thursday is supposed to be Joke Day?" *insert fake smile* Then he said, "Oh yea! Okay who wants to start?" but... no one volunteered =___=lll Prasanna and I asked him to start off, but he said most of his jokes are somewhat rated jokes so he couldn't tell us during schooling hours =______=lll So I suggested we play a 'game' instead. Sir will start off with a random sentence, and then someone continues it etcetc. By the end of the 'game', we found the answer to this question : "Why do most Superheroes wear their underwear on the outside?" <3 The story is as follows :

"It was a beautiful Saturday night. I was eating popcorn and messing with my brother's PSP. He found out and chased me all around. We had a fight. I punched him and he flew into the sky. Suddenly I saw something strange in the sky with super duper underwear. Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's Superman! I was wondering why he was wearing his underwear outside. It was super S-sized. He walked towards me. I got scared and ran away. His chest was huge and he was wearing a tight scuba suit. I wondered why he's wearing a Calvin Klein underwear. How could he afford it? Suddenly a man clad in sarong appeared. It was Sarong Man! He looked very evil. Then another hero appeared. This time, it is Bed Man! (inside joke ^^) He was wearing a cape made of blankets, a suit of mattress sheets and a bolster as his sword. The three of them started fighting. Sarong Man won but his sarong fell off. Bed Man borrowed him his mattress to cover up but he himself wasn't wearing anything underneath. Superman took off his outer underwear and gave it to Bed Man."

-End of story. Mystery solved-

School was pure crack >D

Okayyyyyyyyyy......... I know I've...... died hibernated for an.... appallingly long time *dodges random objects* but err.... I just wasn't in the mood to blog =o= I still prefer writing down my thoughts with classic pencil and paper <3 But yah I'm in a rather jovial mood today so.... tee hee XP;;

Okay so today, a SATURDAY, happens to be a schooling day. A day to do 'community services'(yeah right... it was the classic 'gotong-royong' which every schoolchildren in Malaysia is obligated to participate in at least once in their lifetime). I was 'stationed' in my own class (yay?) and had to wrap/cover the desks with linoleum sheets. At first we almost died, trying to hammer in nails and even thumbtacks to secure them sheets. Oh did I mention that there were only THREE GIRLS cleaning up the class initially? So after a good... half an hour of fruitless hammering, Bone and I decided we had had enough and tried to scout for... more reliable items such as masking tape/double sided tape. Thank goodness the 'Koperasi' was open. So we bought a good deal of stuff, and resumed our mission of securing linoleum sheets. Voilla! It was at least 10X easier than hammering on and on. And it was stuck on rather well too. I tell you, I've had enough hammering to last me a lifetime. I was supposed to secure some ghey cloth on a table in the library with THUMBTACKS and a HAMMER yesterday -_-lll I mean liek jeez, a thumbtack is -fragile-, you know? How did the teacher expect us to hammer in thumbtacks? But I managed to complete my task(amidst much cursing and a throbbing thumb) rather fine. Anygayy... yah I successfully stuck them linoleum sheets on the tables while the others tried to... decorate the notice board. Miss P a.k.a Yumimi came to our class later on. Took some crack photos when everyone started feeling bleh-ed out due to overworking XP;;

Back from hibernation...?

Okay okay I know I've practically been hibernating... but with good reasons!!! Good reasons I say! My tragic tale is still continuing (that of me being able to use the computer only 1 and a half hours a DAY) and with only said time available for me to use dear comp, I barely had time to update this blog. Which is why I went into hibernation mode. Okay I know that in my last post (about a month and 13 days ago...) that the next post, meaning this, is going to be rants on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, but the thing is, I just can't bring myself to type it out. It's like ever since I read the very last word in it, and shut the book, part of me died. Yes HP was, and still is, a very important part of my life. And with the conclusion of it, there's not much for me to look forward to. Now let's skip this sepulchral mood, shall we? I'll probably rant on it some other time... yeah... probably. I had my monthly test on the very beginning of August, and it was pure tragedy. My results, as expected, were highly laughable. Hmm... not a very good start to the month, eh? But wait - I passed my violin practical with merit! According to my teacher, my examiner was(is?) a highly meticulous person, and many candidates failed under him (including the poor Grade 1s). I'm mighty thankful for passing - was worried stiff. And thanks to mom being overly obsessed with her MMORPG that she even ordered items online, I got to buy Gakuto-sama's Returner~Yami no Shuen CD!! Was ecstatic when Mr. Postman came bearing my parcel <3 And I entered the AXN Pirate Masters contest and actually won the consolation prize which consisted of a plastic folder, a T-shirt and a card holder. Seems like August is a pretty good month after all X3 Oh yea, there was a really stupid incident in Borders where I was browsing mangas. I had in my hand "Same Cell Organism" and my mom, standing some distance away, somehow decided to look at the book in my hand and said out loud "What? Same Cell Orgasm?" I totally went =_____=llll at that time. Thank God no one was within earshot =.= Nyan Clarissa a.k.a Ebil Twin a.k.a Imposter left for US last last Tuesday (or Tuesday on the week before last, if you prefer) and we had a small 'reunion' the Saturday before she left. Saw Yueh Phing a.k.a Mei-yan and Wei Leng again after not seeing them for so long (/swt this sentence sounds ghey) [Riina don't bash me cause I see you in school daily =o=] It really was fun fooling around just like the old days :D Going to miss Clar loads. All the best nyan! I think I've typed out quite alot for now... need to use the remaining time to read up my Hikaru no Go mangas ^^ Till next time, sayounara!

All good things must come to an end...

Finally. The anticipated day arrives. Went to bed at 9.00 p.m last night and was rudely awoken by a phone call by Riina at 11.00 p.m. Awoke in the middle of the night at 1.00 a.m and thought it was already 5.00 a.m. Awoken by my alarm at 3.00 a.m. Decided not to go back to sleep any more. Whiled away the hours by re-reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and finally departed for Pacific at 6.00 a.m. Was the first to arrive, and a few more people started to show up around 6.45. Was very eager to be the first in line and thankfully I -AM- the first in line. Waited with bated breath for 7.01 to arrive... the minutes passed, then seconds... and finally! Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was released from the sealed boxes in which it was contained worldwide (give or take a few seconds). I am very enthralled to be one of the first people to hold and open the saintly book. Wasting no time, my eyes absorbed the words of Chapter One hungrily... Ten hours later, feeling satisfied yet hollow, I am forced to accept the cold, hard truth that the journey has come to an end. J.K Rowling has not, however, disappointed me. The ending made it clear that there will be no possible way for this wonderful series to ever continue, and that all magic will be lost if she somehow decides to write the eighth book : Harry Potter and the Never-ending Quest (this is just made up by me, in case you were wondering). Seven years I have faithfully followed the characters and their perilous journey, and as one can imagine, it will be painful to say goodbye. I can only say this : "Though I shall read no further of the series, the magic it has spread will continue to live in my heart."

[Next post : Thoughts on the book *Major-Spoiler Alert*]

*screams hysterically*

ZOMGGGGGG Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows a.k.a the last a.k.a the final instalment in the Harry Potter series is about to be released in practically 12 hours!!!!!! I'm feeling mighty disorientated at the moment... The worst thing is that I actually have to go to school from 8.00-10.00 a.m tomorrow >=( Two whole hours of reading wasted! A part of me is feeling extremely ecstatic and excited over it, while another part of me is feeling a huge sense of loss. I mean, there's only 12 hours left for the fans to speculate about the books, and after that, it's complete. No more speculations. Every single mystery (most) solved. And there's nothing else for me to look forward to. Honestly this series has been what's keeping me going all this while. I really don't know why I feel this way. I mean, I don't go all crazy/upset over a book/series that's reaching it's end. Take the Darren Shan Sagas for example. I wasn't -this- anticipated to read the -twelfth- and final book. Sure, I feel somewhat dispirited when an anime I love (and an anime that has been going on for PLENTIFUL episodes - say, more that 50 epis?) comes to a conclusion, but never quite like this. This really is absurd, come to think of it. What magic have you embedded in your books, Mrs. Rowling? Anyway, I plan on finishing the book tomorrow, so - SPOILER ALERT!! XP Here are some things I would like to express before the whole world unravels the mystery.

#1 : I believe Snape to be loyal to Dumbledore than to The Dark Lord with a ratio of 51:49 Sure, he might not be loyal to anyone in particular, but... we'll just leave that out, shall we? <3

#2 : Sirius might be dead, but he is not gone. He will most certainly play a part in the final book. I believe all souls to be beyond the veil in the Death Chamber.

#3 : Somehow the fact that almost -everyone- is speculating that Harry dies makes me think otherwise... would J.K Rowling really be so straightforward?

#4 : I WANT TO READ MORE ABOUT DRACO!!!!! <---- very random

#5 : I sincerely believe that even though the Potter Mania might die down a little after the release of this seventh book, this remarkable story will remain in the hearts of all true fans for a lifetime.

#6 : I really can't bear to say goodbye T___T
